Developing an Agile Mindset
Working in teams and committing to shared goals is a requirement that has become indispensable in today’s workplace. However, the new world of work also calls for a new approach to teamwork. Less management, more self-organization—this fosters engagement and job satisfaction. “Organize yourselves, set your own work intervals, coordinate with each other! Keep the customer in focus, think outside the box, and create added value!” Hey, freedom—welcome! And what does this mean for the team and each individual member? What mindset does this entail, and what responsibilities come with it?
Whether they’re permanent, temporary, or virtual, agile teams need ongoing dialogue and shared learning—both in terms of content and on a social level. Added to this is the need for cultural sensitivity in teams with international members.
